Mrs. Martin teaches our foreign lanuage program at QCCS.  She homeschooled her four children for eleven years and began teaching Spanish as a temporary position for one semester and then came back as a full time Spanish teacher for 8 years.  Spanish was Mrs. Martin's first language, with English as a second language.  Her past experience included interpreting for the East Moline School District and a teahers aide for the Illinois Migrant Council.
Mrs. Martin loves to garden and care for plants, hiking, biking, and camping.  She enjoys cooking as well.  She sings in the church choir and would like to visit the Holy Land some day and walk where Jesus walked.  As a widowed mother, she still has 2 children living at home with her, Evan, 20, and Karina, 18.  Her daughter, Lisa and son-in-law, Todd have a son, Ian.  They live close by.  Her son Gabriel is living in Africa doing missionary work in Yaounde, Cameroon.
