Mrs. Toyne teaches the High School science classes. She also teaches English as a Foreign Language and Physical Education.
She attended Marycrest College in Davenport, IA earning her BA in Elementary Education and since then has earned a Master’s Degree in American History at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.
Mrs. Toyne has taught Jr. High science and High School Spanish at Temple Christian; homeschooled her own children; and has been a substitute teacher in both private and public schools.
She is currently employed as well at the African-American History Museum in Cedar Rapids as the Children’s Oral History Coordinator for the state of Iowa.
She is married to Dale Toyne and together they have several children and grandchildren. She enjoys camping and being with friends and family.
